The Night of the Shooting Stars
August 10 has always been called the night of shooting stars, which sees adults and children with their noses in the air to see as many as possible and make many wishes. But what are shooting stars?
It is a natural phenomenon known as the Perseid shower. Contrary to popular belief, they are not stars but meteorites that enter the atmosphere attracted by the Earth’s gravity and ignite. They all detached from the Swift-Tuttle comet, which passes close to the Earth every 133 years.
Their name is linked to the myth… but we won’t tell you anything else, find out with us!
